SENTENCES,UTTERANCES, PROPOSITIONS


¿WHAT ARE SENTENCES,UTTERANCES, PROPOSITIONS?



  1. THE SENTENCES : When these ideas are already ordered placed in words.
  2. THE UTTERANCES : Is the sound and how it is said.
  3. THE PROPOSITIONS : They are ideas that are in the head where they can be true or false.

EXAMPLE:
1. THE DAY IS COLD
2. They are stupid, we are all stupid 
3.  HELLO, NOT MUCH , OH  GOD

¿What Is Semantics?

what is it ? Semantics is the branch of linguistics wihich studies all about words

EXAMPLE :

 Watch these oranges are super juicy.
- If we close the deal we will have enough fat profits.


 Here come four branches:

PHONETICS :Is the branch of linguistics that studies the production, physical nature and perception of sounds of a language.
 PRAGMATICS:Is the subfield of linguistics, which studies the ways in which context contributes to meaning.

MORPHOLOGY:Branch of linguistics that studies the internal structure of words.

SYNTAX: Is the study of the principles and processes by which sentences are constructed in particular languages.
